Maria’s MSNBC interview: Subject Line Tips

Last week, I had the good fortune to be interviewed by MSNBC’s JJ Ramberg for her show, “Your Business”, which airs weekend mornings at 7:30amET.   The interview took place at the Javits Center in New York where I was a speaker for the NY NOW expo and my topic was “7 Ways to Add Punch To Your Email Marketing”. (Air date for this segment isn’t available yet. Stay tuned!)

JJ asked me to share some tips for creating compelling subject lines and why email marketing is still relevant today.  According to the Direct Marketing Association, email marketing currently has an ROI of $38 for every dollar spent. If it’s not already part of your marketing mix, you can try it out with a free 60-day trial of Constant Contact here.

It was hard to pick my top tips for compelling subject lines in an interview lasting under five minutes, so here’s a great article on the topic: “Improve Your Open Rates With These 12 Subject Line Tweaks”. Try one and let me know if it works for you!

….And, I’ll be sure to let you know once I have an air date for my segment.
